Posting at the request of Sanders County Rural Addressing Office due to the influx of calls they have been getting.

An abundant amount of road signs have recently been stolen throughout Sanders County. Road signs play an essential role for emergency services. First Responders rely on road signs to reach you and your family members in these rural areas.  When these signs are stolen it can cost our First Responders valuable time that may lead to a life lost.  Not to mention, the time and cost of replacing these signs.  If you know anything about these missing road signs please call the Sanders County Sheriff’s Office. 406-827-3584 ext. 3

It will be noted if signs are returned to any county road department shop or to the Sheriff Office prior to March 15th there will be no charges filled as requested by Rural Addressing.

Replacing road signs:

Private Roads: The individual land owners are responsible for road name signs along their private drives.

County Roads: Sanders County will replace signage along all County maintained roads. If this is the case for you please contact Rural Addressing at 406-827-6920 for sign replacement.Average cost of replacing a sign $65-$75
