Fire Crews were kept busy this holiday weekend.

On Christmas Eve Fire crews took report of a smoke seen coming from a residential structure in the 1600 block of Highway 35. Initial arriving crews arrived to find active fire and initiated a 2nd alarm drawing mutual aid from South Kalispell, Creston, Smith Valley and Kalispell Fire. No injuries reported and the fire was contained within an hour.

At approximately 2am this morning crews were dispatched to a possible electrical fire in a residence on Aspen Ct. Engine 831 arrived scene and observed heavy smoke showing from a two story residential structure. This also drew a 2nd alarm and brought mutual aid from Creston, Columbia Falls, South Kalispell and Kalispell Fire. A two man crew made access  to the second floor of the residence and were able to quickly stop a heavily advancing attic fire.

No injuries reported in either of the fires.

Thanks to all the mutual aid agencies that came to assist this weekend. We appreciate you!
