600 pills | Sanders County Montana Sheriff's Office

More info on 12/23/2022, the night before, the night before Christmas.

Due to a concerned citizen making a call and giving detailed information (plate number, description of vehicle, what they observed). Though that vehicle could not be located at the time even with officers searching in the area.

About an hour later a Deputy Devin Wegener spotted the vehicle. Deputy Wegener approached the vehicle and spotted items of concern and requested backup. Deputy Wegener was able to detain two individuals. Other Deputies and MHP responded to assist. Deputy Wegener stated it was a team effort.

These individuals were arrested and transported to the Detention Facility.

Through proper channels these are items recovered from the vehicle in the pictures below.

Recovered was over 600 pills some of which are suspected to contain fentanyl. There were other various pills as well. In addition 11 grams of suspected crystal meth and many other items.

This was made possible by a resident gathering information and calling it in. Goes to show we can’t be everywhere, you are our eyes and ears.

Deputy Wegener wants more specifically to warn parents that these pills that look like candy to kids (colorful, round). Please educate your kids and yourselves and take precautions. Also, even coming into contact by touching fentanyl can be fatal. If you find anything like this please contact the Sheriff Office right away!

The last three pictures= how such a small about of fentanyl can be fatal, blue pills on top are real and the ones on the bottom are counterfeit with fentanyl, the last one is the legit non-fentanyl pill. It’s hard to tell the difference though slight there is a difference. BE AWARE!
