Interviews for the Montana Legislature will be held after Sen. Nate McConnell from Senate District 48 announced his resignation.
McConnell resigned on Nov. 5, according to a press release from Missoula County. The board of commissioners will appoint a replacement to fill his seat. Since McConnell is a Democrat. The Democratic Party will provide three appointees to be interviewed for the position.
"The Missoula County Democratic Central Committee submitted their nominees, Briana Lamb, Shane Morigeau and Monica Tranel, to the commissioners on Friday, Nov. 13. The commissioners must make and confirm an appointment and notify the secretary of state within 15 days of receiving the list of appointees," the county said in the press release.
The interviews were public and held on Monday through Microsoft Teams.
