As Election Day approaches, Missoula County is urging its residents to vote early and return their ballots as soon as possible.
It is expected that these efforts will help to curb wait times for those that will be voting in person on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The election is now less than a week away, and the county is making a final push to help make voting more accessible and easy for everyone.
Ballots are due to the Election Office on Tuesday, Nov. 3 by 8 p.m., according to a press release from the county. Postmarks will not be sufficient, and those ballots will not count if they do not arrive to the Election Office by the time polls close on Election Day. Those that still plan to mail in their ballot should do so immediately, as the USPS is not guaranteeing that all articles of mail can be delivered due to congestion.
The Election Office is also offering extended hours in the days leading up to the election for any residents that need to update their registration.
