Cost of college went up for all students at Crevier's Academy of Cosmetology Arts

Tuition and fees rose 18.5 percent for 2018-19 at Crevier's Academy of Cosmetology Arts, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Montana students paid $12,800 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $2,000 more than the $10,800 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 71 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 64 students received grants or scholarships totaling $280,066 and 70 students took out student loans totaling more than $356,566.

Including all undergraduates (80), 73 students used grants or scholarships totaling $315,810, and 79 students took out $393,978 in federal student loans.
