Mentoring Programs: Create and Sustain Yours »
LibraryGivingDay is a one-day fundraising event with the goal of
encouraging people who depend on and enjoy public libraries to donate to
their individual library system. That support will go toward the incredible
programs and services provided by ImagineIF Libraries.
Why are we doing this?
With Flathead Gives cancelled and many of our funding opportunities in limbo
during the Covid-19 outbreak, it’s important for us to raise some money to
be able to meet our obligation to the library in the next fiscal year. With
our primary fundraiser, Loud at the Library cancelled, an online fund drive
gives us a chance to recoup some of that lost revenue.
It’s also a wonderful opportunity to highlight how important the services
the library is offering are now as well as what a crucial role they will
play in the community once they re-open their doors. Online giving is a
low-barrier way to bring new donors into the fold.
What do you need from me?
We need you to spread the word before and during the donation drive.
How do people give?
They give online on our website, imagineiflibraryfoundation.org/LGD
Why should people give?
Because our ImagineIF libraries depend on private donations to help bridge
the gap between their public budget and the needs of our community. Donor
dollars pay for everything from Early Literacy Classes to Summer Experience
to safety equipment to staff trainging to furniture! Our library would not
be the award-winning institution it is without donor support.
They should also give so they can WIN PRIZES!
We are repurposing our Loud at the Library prizes as Library Giving Day
raffles. Current Loud ticket holders will automatically get one entry into
every raffle. For people donating on Library Giving Day, they’ll get 1 entry
per every $10 donated. Winners will be drawn at random on Friday, April 24th
and notified via email or phone. (All gift certificates will be valid from
one year after the resumption of normal business.)
Donors can select the prize they’d like to be entered to win, and can choose
from:
A month of lessons in Yoga, Jiu Jutsu or Kickboxing and all the
gear you need to start from SBG
A private painting lesson by renowned local artist Karen Leigh and
painting supplies
A llama trek from Swan Mountain Outfitters and a Cotopaxi backpack
from The Toggery
A 23 and Me Genetic Discovery Kit
A private blacksmithing lesson from Scott Joram Sweeder of Iron
Bear Forge
A whitewater rafting trip from Glacier Guides
An overnight stay and dining voucher for the Izaak Walton Inn
