Make
Get creative and make your life a little cozier with a custom blend of mulling spices, use your collaboration skills as you contribute to the Montana Heart Project, and put your problem-solving skills to work as you puzzle through a knot tying station. Don’t miss Making Montana, a two-day event with more 21st century skills in action. This winter at ImagineIF Libraries we’re making a big deal about making.
Community of Love
Contribute to the Montana Heart Project by drawing a heart and making the “We are a Community of Love” installation come to life. By collaborating, expressions of love, grief and forgiveness will come together to make a powerful impression. January 6-16
Jennifer Thompson, artist in residence January 7th and 14th from 4-6pm
Trivia @ the Brewery
Enjoy trivia night every Monday at the brewery, with trivia questions provided by ImagineIF Libraries. Put your brain to the test! Kalispell Brewing Company Mondays, 6-8 p.m.
Friends of the Library Book Club
The Friends of the Library Book Club meets the second Tuesday of the month in the meeting room at ImagineIF Kalispell. All are invited to join the discussion. Next month’s selection: Sound of Things Falling by Juan Gabriel Vasquez
In the city of Bogotá, Antonio Yammara reads an article about a hippo that had escaped from a derelict zoo once owned by legendary Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. The article transports Antonio back to when the war between Escobar’s Medellín cartel and government forces played out violently in Colombia’s streets and in the skies above. Back then, Antonio witnessed a friend’s murder, an event that haunts him still. As he investigates, he discovers the many ways in which his own life and his friend’s family have been shaped by his country’s recent violent past. ImagineIF Kalispell Meeting Room, February 11, 4:30 p.m.
For Children
