City of Kalispell issued the following announcement on Nov 6.
Tom Cronnelly hands out turkeys as Bernie McCarthy, a deacon and president of the ministerial association for the Butte community, packs cars headed to destinations across Butte where meals will be prepared for Special Olympic athletes, coaches and chaperones. The opening ceremony begins tomorrow and games run throughout the week. Cronnelly says the the Butte volunteers for the Special Olympics wanted to give a special meal to those participating and they are still taking donations for the meal. Donations can be made to Bernie McCarthy at St. Ann's Parish.
