It’s Friday, and Missoula County employees are working hard for you! Meet Paula, licensed practical nurse at Partnership Health Center

“This month marks my fifth year of working at PHC and my 17th year as a nurse.

I started working at PHC on the east side until I was offered the opportunity to work with Dr. John Honsky in the psychiatric department. Having patients come in for mental health needs and to ask for help should never be taken lightly. It’s never easy asking for help, and I’m forever grateful for those patients who opened up to me and let me be part of their life and treatment. Of all my years working as a nurse, this is where I feel I’ve most belonged – where I truly make a difference in our patients’ lives. I appreciated being a part of the team with the psychiatric advanced practical registered nurses, who were consistently finding treatments for our patients to be their best selves. I was recently moved from the psychiatric department and placed on the west side of the clinic. I’m very grateful to now work in orthopedics with Dr. Heid and the residents who are all willing to learn and are kind, considerate and thorough with every patient they come into contact with. I’m very lucky to be part of their PHC journey.

I have met some of the most kind and caring people while working here at PHC – people who are truly making differences in the lives they touch. And I will never forget the patients who have touched my heart in return.”
