Be Aware of Driveway Asphalt Paving Scams

**Fraud Alert**

Be aware of Driveway Asphalt paving scams.

These companies often send out flyers in the mail to local areas they are currently working. They may be licensed in Montana but are not a local Montana business and often using a Montana Post Office Box as their primary business address. They often have out of state license plates on their dump trucks and work trucks. They will use local Montana phone numbers to make it appear as they are from Montana. They will approach you at your home and more than likely will offer you a discount on paving your driveway, stating they have left-over asphalt from a prior job. The business will offer you quotes and a contract, then they change the contract at the end of the job, demanding more money. If you see suspicious activity like this in Lincoln County, please report it to our local Law Enforcement.
